Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST Repair is designed to repair and restore email and data from damaged or corrupted Microsoft outlook file. Microsoft Outlook stores e-mail messages, contacts, notes and folders on the local drive as a .pst file. It scans the damaged .pst file, extracts and then saves information in a new usable .pst file. The program is read only and is safe to use. The program includes support for Outlook XP , Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. The demo lists all the e-mails and data that are recoverable but does not display the message contents.
What's new in this version: Version 4.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

After 1x00CCCC0B kind of error, installed, but their recovered OUTPUT.PST file (5 hours for 4GB file) was itself corrupt: reported 34 deleted emails from OUTBOX, most of the SENT box reclaimed emails had had no timestamp, and the OUTLOOK file was not the problem. Moved it to second machine, no errors; system
restore on first system was the error, moved original back and no errors. Then company REFUSED to refund (but, THANK YOU AMEX),
claiming they required me to spend more time with technical suppport; first call when I saw the 34 deleted from outbox recovered got an indian accent who hung up on me when he couldn't explain how I could have deleted from the OUTBOX, second call went to a full voice mailbox. Wish I had found the CNET review first. -

The software works as it promises. To add as an information, software has two versions - free/demo download and the full download. The free download software is for the convenience of user only so that he / she could check the repair capability of the software. Demo version of the software scans PST file and provides the preview of your lost Outlook objects. If you get satisfied with the performance of the software then for the actual recovery of the PST file you need to register and get the full download version of the software which is paid. For any type of query regarding purchase process, software installation etc. user can easily contact the technical support of Stellar.

I have used the Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST Repair software and in my case it did a nice job. The software delivers the results as it promises. I am still thankful to Stellar for saving my valuable emails and contacts. That time I am in a great need to use a tool to repair my Outlook then someone recommended me Stellar Outlook PST Repair tool. I checked its demo version and it made me very happy when I saw the preview of all my lost emails.
I evaluated more about the software and made the decision to purchase it after complete satisfaction. Everything went smoothly from purchase to the recovery of my emails and I am
glad with the performance of the software. Few more things which I liked about the software are its nice GUI and ease of use. Excellent work Stellar !!! -

The developer hides the fact that you have to pay $129. What a waste of time. It scans the corrupt pst file ... and after a long time, ask you to register to continue. Don't waste your time on this.

You can't really "try" the product if you can't save the recovered file w/out paying full price!! Saw no indication (before reading the review above) that it wouldn't work with a 64-bit system! Waste of time-could have maybe found something else.

The free "try" is worthless because you can't use it to solve a problem without paying! Publisher not upfront with this, nor with the fact that this program won't work with a 64-bit system! I would have been willing to pay, say $20 to fix Outlook--cheaper than hiring a consultant, but not to pay full price for a program I will probably never use again! My fault for not reading the reviews before I "tried" it, so I wouldn't have wasted the time, especially with my 64-bit system, but I would not purchase anything from these people after this experience!

The product does not work on 64 bit computer systems. The error occurs when you attempt to save the recovered file. The demo program cannot save the file, so you can't discover this when using the downloaded demo.

Overall, this feels like a sloppily written program. The activation suffers from mismatched verbiage (it calls for your order number, which is the order reference number in the e-mail, and also calls for the serial number, which is called the Registration Key in a different e-mail). The service was very slow, and only after several hours did they say that the program would not run in 64 bit mode. The on-line help mentioned 64 bit operating systems only to state that "Yes, our software Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery supports 64-bit system.." However, that isn't the e-mail recovery program, for which the knowledge base says nothing about the inability to run in a 64 bit environment. Hopefully I will be able to get a refund.

Interface seemed easy enough to use but couldn't tell if it worked unless I paid.

On the web site I clicked on the "Free Version" button, installed it, ran it, but it would let me save the fixed version without paying for it. So, I really wan't even sure if it would work or not until I paid.
Summary
Try something else......this company is charging too much for what most people already have. I don't have scanpst.exe because it wasn't included on the company image on my computer.

Nothing at all. Can't test product witout payment.

Very disolutioned with your product. Took three tries to get it to complete, over 20 hours of work and then I get hit with a $150 payment befor I can save the file. This is crap and a real waste of my time.
Summary
This is false advertisment and real abuse of your potential customers. It very improper to advertise a product as free and hen pull a "bait in switch" after a lot of time has been spent. I have no idea if you product works or not, but will surely not spent $150 to test. Very, very poor abuse of your potential customer. I really resnt this tactic and the time I wasted.
