    "Perform Flawless Recovery"

    May 13, 2014   |   By wirthnathan

Version: Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery 4.0

    Pros

Linux partitions were easily recoverable - ext2

    Cons

Linux user has to attach their hard drive on Windows to perform recovery

    Summary

Tried this software on Ext2 partition which is almost full with important data. After scanning the entire partition, i got succeded in finding some of the important files. Therefore, pressed the recover button and set the destination to save files.
However, all recovered files were showing 0 bytes and windows can't able to open it. After few more tries and through advanced recovery options, I finally managed to get all pieces of important files back.

Really wonderful software. I'd strongly recommend it to use if the data is worthy.

"Price worthy and powerful Linux Recovery tool"

    August 19, 2009   |   By Seol_Dushku

Version: Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery 3

    Pros

The software is quite intuitive and user friendly

    Cons

    Can not recover Ext4 files

    Summary

Last time I was desperate and hoping I can recover my corrupted ext2 Linux files. After downloading and installing a free trial of an anti-virus software,my system files got completely inaccessible.I tried to restoring the file system parameters manually, but this was mostly unsuccessful.I was so anxious about my data and files then I search a lot and what I gather in my googling was Stellar Phoenix Linux Recovery software. This software is amazing and powerful in recovering data from Ext2,ext3 files.Firstly I was not sure whether it works or not but I take a risk and start recovering my data from this Linux recovery tool and I got success.I should pay thanks to this wonderful software as it saves my all work and money. Thanks

    "False claims"

    July 10, 2008   |   By ripski08

    Version: Stellar Phoenix Linux 3

    Cons

Do not give your money to this company.

It simply does not work and they will NOT refund your money.

To be eligible for a refund I had to follow their instructions. They asked me to download version 2.5 (yes... downgrade!!!) and then after a week of unsuccessfully trying they said they only give a refund if there is a bug in the software.

"The demo is worthless, sorry to say."

    May 15, 2007   |   By vinylman2000

    Version: Stellar Phoenix Linux 1.0

    Pros

It seems easy to use, with a clean interface. If it does what it says I was not able to test as the demo did not allow me to test the most important functions!!!!!

    Cons

Everybody who is in need, wants to try out if the program really does what it says. I was in desperate need for my files on a lost Ext3 partition. I saw the file names, but was not allowed to open one single file. Other programs out there actually lets you open the files you find, one by one so you can listen to a tune, see a picture, just to be sure the program really is able to do what is being claimed. Here you only can see the names. My review is for the 2.5 version, what I found out when I downloaded here was that the verion said to be 1.0 is actually 2.1, and that one only reads Ext2. To pay 89$ without even knowing that the program is working is too much.
