Version: Startup Control Panel 2.6
"Take Control of Your Startup!"
Pros: This tiny application (which you'll find in Start > Settings > Control Panel > Startup) will help you take control of what programs open at startup. The interface is easy to understand...just click or unclick an item to start it. The names of the items are clear and the path helps identify which program is running it. Be careful: some applications (QuickTime comes to mind) will reset themselves to start at startup EVERY time you run them. You'll have to catch these before you shut down if you don't want them coming up again. This application is installed on ALL my computers!
Cons: Try to keep a program from starting up by checking within the program FIRST for something like "Start with Windows." Some programs will reinstall themselves over and over in Startup Control Panel if you don't.

Version: Startup Control Panel 2.6
"Compact, Free Program - Works Perfectly With XP"
Pros: This Tiny Program is simple and clean, giving you access to start-up information you would otherwise not have and allowing you to decide what starts when Windows does. It integrates seamlessly into the Windows control Panel, saving space on the Start Menu, whilst still allowing quick access. One of the functions of this software that I like most, is that it allows you to add programs to start-up with windows, whilst keeping the windows ?start up? folder empty. Another good element is that when you delete a start-up entry, it is kept for you in the "deleted" section of the program, which allows you to ?un-delete? deleted entries easily, should you need to.
Cons: Personally, I don't and can't see why I would ever want to uninstall this program. However, it would be nice to be given an easy and user friendly way to uninstall it, should I ever go slightly mad and choose to do so. Unfortunately I cant see any clear way to do this, as the program isn?t listed in the ?add or remove programs? section of the Windows control Panel, neither does it create a program folder in the ?program files? section of Windows, and as far as I can see, it doesn?t provide an uninstaller either. The lack of an uninstaller or any clear way to uninstall the program doesn?t bother me at all, as the program is completely ad-ware and spy-ware free, takes up hardly any hard drive space and performs a very useful function. However, for some users the lack of any clear way to uninstall the program will be intolerable. For this reason and the fact that its uninstall shortcomings make it a less complete program overall, I have given the program a 4/5 rather than the full 5/5 I would have otherwise given it.

Version: Startup Control Panel 2.6
Pros: Small little program that does what it says. Works well and show you all startup programs. Breaks things down into "location" of startup. Recommend for beginners. For more advanced users, everything can be done without this tool. There are others that do the same and provide other tools as well.
Cons: Only con is that locating the program is not easy if you don't know where to look. It is located in the control panel. A shortcut to it would have been nice in the start menu.

Version: Startup Control Panel 2.6
"This product Incredibly does what it says..."
Pros: It isn't a resource hogging, need to appear on my taskbar, all up in my programs, obnoxious program. It basically does what it's supposed to do, and it sits in my control panel, incredible. This is a must have.

"Does what it says it will do!"
Pros: Does what it says it will do. I have the same opinion as all the other reviews EXCEPT that there IS an easy way to uninstall it. Visit mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml for uninstall instructions. Basically you delete 1 file. easy as pie.
Cons: none, given that I can easily uninstall it.
