A comprehensive database application for managing menus, StarChef Light's feature set is, if anything, too extensive. Through MDB databases, you can store data on recipes, menus, suppliers, and costs for multiple restaurants and cafes. You also can record the details of specific dishes, such as preparation, calories, cost, and photos. The trial version disables some database categories. StarChef Light might be a godsend to restaurant managers or chefs, but if your needs are limited to storing recipes and shopping lists, you might look for something less complicated.Publisher's description
From StarLogic :StarChef Light is the perfect entry-level, recipe-software tool for small businesses and home users. You can build a database of ingredients, recipes, suppliers, and menus. All information can be organized by category for easy reference and retrieval. Specify preparation instructions, perform recipe costing, and print attractive, informative recipe cards with pictures. Add your recipes to menus and let StarChef build formatted Microsoft Word menu layouts for your restaurant.

Version: StarChef Light 1.4
"Easy to use with loads of great features"
Pros: As a chef, I use star chef to help manage my business. I cost out my recipes, create my weekly and monthly menus and print recipe cards for my staff. I would recommend starchef to anyone in the business.
Cons: If you're just looking for a simple program to store your recipes and nothing more then this program is probably overkill.
