From Srego :The Srego CE ToolPack ActiveX Control is a desktop development tool for enabling your desktop applications to interact with a connected Windows CE, Pocket PC, Handheld PC 2000, CE .NET, Windows Mobile, or SmartPhone device. The ActiveX control can detect the events generated by a device being connected or disconnected, can manipulate files, registry entries, and CE databases as well as retrieve information about the device such as processor type, memory information, battery and AC line status, and screen size.
The ActiveX control communicates with the connected device via RAPI (Remote Application Programming Interface) and requires no software to be loaded on the device. The Srego CE ToolPack ActiveX Control will work with Visual Basic and Visual C++ or any other development tool that supports ActiveX controls. Version 1.0.0.57 has several fixes, many new methods, better .NET support.
