This spyware scanner and removal tool does the job, but enabling some functions may cause slight slowdowns and it's not ready for Vista.
Spyware Terminator's crisp, clean interface uses simple buttons and tabs to operate and set options. The latest spyware signatures are automatically downloaded, and the real-time protection keeps baby-sitting to a minimum. Real-time protection monitors key spyware types and Windows objects, though slight system slowdowns depend on your machine. Those features and the simple scheduler will make this app appealing to novices.
Advanced users will appreciate Spyware Terminator's flexibility. Setting the sensitivity of various scans is as easy as moving a slider. Experienced users will want to enable the built-in antivirus tool, which extends the power of real-time analysis by comparing program code against a database of known viruses, Trojans, and worms.

"A well established spyware remover."
Pros: This is an improvement on the previous version in that it uses a larger database. I did'nt use the optional anti-virus extra that comes with the software.
Cons: It takes a noticable longer time to do even the fast scan.

Pros: This spyware is the Best I have ever seen!!! I look everywhere for spyware and for the time you look Spyware Terminator can be work to keep your PC safe!!! NOTE it may work too good for some!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: So far it is the best I've ever seen and I don't know why the editors gave it 4 stars but, oh well. It has HIPS protection 11 different shields and the best detection ever and it's free. This monitors systems files and changes in registry on your computer.
Cons: It might slow down your computer with some features and It is very advanced, in my opinion it is not for novices or people who want simple and quiet security.

Pros: Great program, if used in conjuction with other spyware (if your only using one and hoping your covered, you have alot to learn).
Has great autorun features
Cons: Real-time protection will NOT work with networked HP printers. I have a networked HP printer, and trying to print on it while ST is running is impossible. Even when installing the HP software with ST's Hipps on install mode. Only time Ive ever had a problem with the printer.

"BETTER THAN MOST PAID FOR ANTISPYWARES."
Pros: This has to be one of the easiest antispywares to use.Looks good,feels good.Does not slow down my laptop at all.Its much better than a lot of paid for antispywares.I love the HIPS feature.
For a change a free program that WILL remove any nasties found.I dont often give 5 stars but I think "Crawler" deserve this.
For the time being this is the BEST free antispware tool out there!
