This spyware scanner and removal tool does the job, but enabling some functions may cause slight slowdowns and it's not ready for Vista.
Spyware Terminator's crisp, clean interface uses simple buttons and tabs to operate and set options. The latest spyware signatures are automatically downloaded, and the real-time protection keeps baby-sitting to a minimum. Real-time protection monitors key spyware types and Windows objects, though slight system slowdowns depend on your machine. Those features and the simple scheduler will make this app appealing to novices.

Pros: real-time, detection rated 1 of the highest in important antispyware tests.
funny for those who love advanced windows care, ive had more probs with it than i ever had with this. windows care gives off FALSE POSITIVES. some ppl say that it also detected over 1000 registry errors which unless your pc is running horrible is near impossible but that was a rating on a new pc. as for spybot it too is rated 1 of the worst antispyware now. u all need to stop living in the past and realize both ad-aware and spybot r past their prime.their last engines r almost 2 yrs old all their doing is giving updates. how can u honestly rely on a product who's main engine is 2 yrs old? i mean thats like keeping a mcafee product all your life without upgrading the engine just the definitions. would you actually think a 2005 mcafee product is even more reliable than avg free for this yr? no cause it your talking about a new engine vs an old one
Cons: nothing unless you wanna rely on old products opinions and those that give off a ton of FALSE POSITIVES. to me i would rather go with the products who's detection rates r proven high not some who have 2 yr old scanning engines and those who have been know to give off false positives. but if u wanna rely on those kinda products its up to u, remember tho this never causes crashes while advanced windows care has had a lot of complaints in the past.

(6.)REAL-TIME PROTECTION, I CAN TELL YOU RIGHT NOW THAT THIS HAS THE BEST REAL-TIME SHIELD EVER! (7.)UPDATER CAN BE SET TO AUTOMATIC AND THE PRODUCT HAS UPDATES LIKE TWICE A WEEK. "Excellent choice, to annihliate spyware"
Pros: I think, this software is very good, and will come in handy in case of a spyware leak or one of those "emergencies" It is safe, and easy to use, and I liked it, and I hope you do too.
Cons: They should offer more choices, and have a bigger list of spyware it can destroy.

"Excellent, comprehensive - and free!"
Pros: Clean, intuitive interface. Very easy to configure, but with great depth and flexibility (HIPS, HOSTS file shield, system.ini shield, win.ini shield, browser helper objects shield, etc. etc.) if you wish to use it. Best real-time protection I've seen. Very light memory footprint. Very fast response to threats, regular updates.
Cons: Cannot think of any negative comments, nor any excuse not to use this excellent product. Oh, just one thing - the real-time protection is so acute you might like to disable it temporarily while installing new software - saves time allowing each process individually. (If you did forget to turn it on again, it would re-enable itself at next reboot.)

"Very good spyware application."
Pros: Working real-time protection! I have been running this for a solid 2 weeks and so far so good! Extremly fast scan and amazingly comprehensive for the speed. Offers HIPS protection feature not availible in some spyware programs that you have to pay for! Plenty of options including set-up options that allow novice users to set it to auto-detect and remove dangerous processes without asking the user. Very little drain on memory which should appeal to those without a lot of RAM or using older computers or OS.
Cons: real-time protection/detection is bit slow in my experience.
