SplitWiz is a file splitter designed for splitting and mending file with ease and versatility. At your disposal is a large array of options and features, including the ability to compress your split files. Using this utility, you can split files of any type and size. When the time arrives to mend these pieces back together again, SplitWiz is not required for the process (however it may be used), making sending large files to removable media and email accounts simple and fast. SplitWiz supplies options for both novice and advanced users, so if you re a tech guru or a grandmother of three, the level of control is only limited by your computing skills.

Although SplitWiz doesn't offer any groundbreaking features or file-splitting technology, we certainly admire its ease of use. The program's simple design makes it easy to select files to split or recombine, and novices will surely appreciate the useful descriptions found when you place your mouse over a specific section. Choose one of two options, Split Files or Mend Files, and you can easily search for files with the built-in browser. When dicing up a file, you can select one of four preset sizes, including 1.44MB on a diskette and 650MB on a CD, or create a custom size. You also can opt to create a batch file so split files can be combined without needing to use SplitWiz. We were impressed with the option to compress split files, which can further help you minimize the space they require. When joining split files, you can choose to delete the source files after recombining or opt to have the file open as soon as they're merged. All in all, the program worked quickly and effectively in testing, and its ease of use makes it a good choice for the novice or the expert.

  Summary: I was VERY impressed with this software, especially because of its speedy and easy to use manner. It seems to be of higher quality than other similiar programs. Thanks for a terrific program!
