Sothink SWF Decompiler is a tool to browse, view, and parse Shockwave Flash movies (SWF). It supports exporting the FLA file. It can also extract shape, image, sound, Flash Video (FLV), font, text, movie clip, button, and frame from a Flash movie. Furthermore, SWF Decompiler can de-compile the Action Scripts in a Flash movie and turn them into neat and readable code. Supports Flash MX 2004 format and Action Script 2.0.
Version MX 2005 build 41221 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"The best there is but still isn't a perfect solution"

Pros: Excellent interface. Nothing even close that I've run across.
Cons: Looked into this software because I wanted to look into one specific morphing technique on one specific website. The compilation from SWF to FLA seemed about 90% accurrate--but the 10% of the site I was really interested in, this wasn't decompiled properly. So I can see this as a nice tool, but it was ultimately disappointing in my particualar scenario. But compared to Flash Decompiler and others, (unfortunately?) there's nothing better out there.

Summary: This may be one of the top ten softwares around the world. Although it is quite expensive to have one yourself, it really helps so much. I brought the older version with a 20% discount, if you want to have one legal copy, just go ahead. read more >>
