"The program doesn't work. Good customer service / tech support, though."
Pros: The tech support was pretty good: they replied within the 24 hours of my first inquiry; for the second inquiry they took a few days, but still were very courteous and provided accurate information. Because of the attentiveness of the tech support, I may try the newer version.
Cons: The program doesn't work. After giving me the message of "conversion successful", the DVD was unplayable (I tried to convert 2 times and I tried to play the discs on 3 different drives). Their tech support told me that it is a known issue and that they expect to fix it on the next release.

"Not compatible with DVDShrink"
Pros: Seems to make a set of DVD files out of a MPEG2 video capture OK, though it takes a long time.
Cons: Complains about videos too large for 4Gb disks, even when you have set the parameter to say you have an 8Gb drive (dual layer) and are saving to files, not burning. And then DVDShrink can't load the results. I use this to compress or split DVD file sets to fit them onto disks. So I haven't tried the burner.
