"Best of the free ones over all"

Pros
Custom scans, detects Mac & Windows viruses, does not get in the way, they have a LION compatible version on their web site., and it's free.
Cons
It does take awhile to scan especially if you have a lot of stuff, it runs 4 different things at the same time always in the monitor it adds up in memory use, and makes a lot of logs that I have to erase.
Summary
There is a few other pros and cons not big ones but its pros out weitgh the cons.

Easy to use. Do not detect any slowing of computer, or excessive use of resources. Scan takes no longer than any other antiviral scan.

Summary
I installed this on a couple of Mac's just to test it out and see if I actually had any malware on my computers. The scans on the Mac's took over a hour to run. They found nothing on either computer. I used Sophos for a couple of weeks and for the most part it was transparent but I did notice a slowdown of my browsers loading pages. My own opinion is that Anti Virus is still a option for Mac's. If your really a paranoid person or if you start reading about the big Mac virus spreading across the internet or if you are just curious to know if your computer is infected. Then this program is a easy option to try. I myself will uninstall it for now, because I have satisfied my concerns about malware on my Mac's and it reaffirmed my assumption that their was nothing on them.

I used Sophos when it came out because it was free. It found a minor virus and I was impressed.
Cons
It used computer's resources intensely.
It doesn't work well with Kaspersky antivirus. If you use Sophos, try running Applejack and see all the Sophos files it finds and cleans.Summary
Sophos is good by itself, but doesn't work well with Kasperksy antivirus installed.
