Great for converting PDFs to JPGs. Does what it says it does.
Latest version requires that you install Astromenda Search onto your computer (there is NO Decline button). "Astromenda Search it's technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry generally refers to it as a "PUP," or potentially unwanted program." When I go to the company website and try to download it from there, Chrome blocks it as a potentially malicious file. Not a good sign.
I do NOT advise installing the latest version! It has malware (Astromenda) with no way to Decline installing. When I go to the company website and try to download it from there, Chrome blocks it as a potentially malicious file.
Sure it finds more drivers than most others, but at what cost?
This software is not worth the time it takes to download. It finds lots of drivers and downloads quite fast if you buy the paid version. However my experience is that many of those drivers are non Windows certified and do not work. Many times the software wants to re-download the driver over and over again! Plus if you try to roll those updates back to the originals you end up with devices with no drivers at all! What a mess. I had to restore to get my system working properly!! Plus all the emails they send are equally hard to stop. The option to unsubscribe link leads you no where. I finally had to email their company and complain mightily My advice is to stay away from this company.
Shame on Download.com for recommending this trash!
It recognizes a lot of words. If we were judging this as a batting average of hits versus strikeouts, it would be the all-time baseball batting average leader. Unfortunately getting 2/3 or even 9/10 of the words right isn't good enough for OCR.
Can't recognize numbers, even in Times, which is considered to be among the most legible fonts in the world. Only crappily OCR's one page at a time.
Lame. This wasted time I couldn't afford to waste. Thanks for trying, but next time include in the description that this is a prototype that isn't road-ready.
My God how far we have come in such a short time. To where a dead useless unless chained to a data plan "by law" phone can be a traveling land line that texts.
Pros wow where to start.
wifi is everywhere even more so in mcds starbucks and a million other places. Hell I have seen free wifi in bars lately. So unless you NEED to be 100% wireless and like me love the idea of 500 minutes for $8 bucks and being a slave to no one. Get this APP.
I was skeptical to and am extremely tech savvy. What made me try it? You can use 1 dollar to test it. Thats right a buck! If it doesnt work f it. But it did! This is life changing technology.
Big bro will crush it eventually. Also the ringer is awful?
Pro version purchased via offer from the free version at 2PCs $14.95 loaded 3 Trojan agents during download, had I not had added protection on my PC it would have loaded my PC with all that stuff (since I have to be (PC) correct
Be very, very ,careful of the pro download, just my 2 cents
