Sonique is an audio player capable of handling MP3 files, audio CDs, and more. Perhaps what makes this player most unique is its dynamic windowless interface, complete with fully animated menu systems. Additional functionality includes a full-featured playlist editor, a variety of output visualization modes, and a CD player-like control set with pitch adjusting, jog/shuttle control, balance, amplification, and so on. Furthermore, Sonique has online capabilities to make downloading new music easy. Sonique supports many audio formats, including MPEG, MP2, MP3, WAV, MOD, XM, IT, S3M, and CD-Audio. Version .60 adds an improved installer; better audio output; drag-and-drop support in directories; MP1 and MPX file support; a "Minimize to system tray" option; the ability to load and save balance and pitch, window position and state, and playlist and current song; and quite a few bug fixes. Also, PLS, M3U, and PL have been added to the list of associated file types.
