THIS PROGRAM WORKS WONDERS FOR TEACHING. IT MAKES GATHERING VIDEOS AND IMAGES NECESSARY FOR TEACHING A BREEZE. A LOT OF OTHER FACULTY USE IT AFTER SEEING IT IN ACTION ON MY COMPUTER. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM.
Cons
VIDEO QUALITY COULD BE BETTER, BUT IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME AND MY STUDENTS.

Pros
Makes capturing and cropping an image much easier than Ctrl+PrintScreen, which forces you to dump the entire screen into a photo editing program and then crop.
Cons
The program requires a small toolbar which takes up browser space.

"One of The Best VIDEO CAPTURE utility"

OK, some people have noticed that pressing Alt+PrtScn captures the screen. Duh. That's not what a screen capture utility is for. Streaming content providers have gotten much better at preventing you from downloading embedded content. I've used this software for a number of years and loved it. This version makes it easy to capture directly to Windows office programs like PowerPoint, Word. Easy to capture text. You can adjust most aspects of the video capture including FPS, compression.
Cons
The reason I'm not giving this a 5/5, is the price is a bit high, and there is a cheaper, simpler interface option that captures with equal quality - CapWizPro - not as feature rich, but still has the basic options like FPS and compression, and if you're an experienced user, it's not much hassle to get the output into different applications -
I don't like the way SnagzIt automatically installs its button on your MS Office application's toolbar without asking - what else is it doing?

The product links right up with the Print Screen key so you always have access to choosing what you need an image of... you don't have to take any extra steps. Also, you have many options of what you want to do with the output (i.e. print, past to Word, clipboard, etc.).
Cons
I really can't find anything negative - the price is great and the product works as advertised! Imagine that??!!

Pros
This allows me to capture the screen, the program window or even record what I'm doing on the screen for my online tutorials. Theway it applies the effect and sets up the toolbar is really rocks. All the things become easy with this program.

Allows me to capture, save, and modify/highlight what I see on my screen and then easily add them to other documentation.
Cons
Not always the easiest to set up or start if I'm doing a complicated project.

Way Complicated
Currently, I am using a small screen-capture utility called "Screen Capture Professional" and it's really great because I can't buy SnagIt.

Pros
I would be working on photos and would put grids on them but couldn't print with print screen key. I used a drawing program and put a golden mean grid on top and it also wouldn't print. I came across this by accident and found their is so much more you can do with it.
