SnagIt/32 allows users to capture, manage, manipulate, and print images, text, and video. Users are given the option to capture the entire screen, a window, or an arbitrary rectangle. It comes with special support for capturing menus and repeatedly capturing fixed-sized images, the entire contents of scrolling windows, DOS screens, and desktop animation sequences (video or user-interface activities, for example). Tools for image processing include brightness, contrast, hue, sharpen, scale, color reduction, and color substitution. SnagIt/32 also converts most text blocks on the desktop to machine-readable text, even where cut and paste operations don't work. Additional features include a DDE (direct data entry) interface and a thumbnail browser. New in 4.3 is the ability to easily add real-time audio input to SnagIt's video captures.
