Publisher's Description
From Nicholas Christopoulos:
SmallBASIC is a simple computer language, targeting on simplicity, mathematics and graphics. Its a tool for novices, for non-IT scientists, for simple and "silly" algorithms. SmallBASIC IS NOT A DEVELOPER TOOL FOR PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMERS (there are no data-types, no binary output, no QB compatibility, no low-level access

"There were no installation instructions anywhere!"
Version: SmallBASIC 0.8.1
Pros
Sorry, can't like software that I can't install!
Cons
Downloaded a zip file containing 2 files: ._SmallBasic.msi.exe & SmallBasic.msi.exe. I'm not familiar with Windoze files with dual extensions (both .msi & .exe) used together. Googling hasn't helped a bit...
Summary
Hopefully I will eventually discover if I received everything needed to do an installation. I'm a software engineer and consultant by trade, but that was no help here. There are some websites that claim to explain installation, but they seem to waste time bragging about their "vast" software expertise, without ever explaining anything at all. This sort of mindless "teaching" definitely wouldn't cut it in the Mac or Linux/Unix worlds. Small Basic is not intended to be a child's toy, but rather an avenue to greater computer understanding for those who would care to improve themselves by learning a new skill. Basic isn't a child's toy either, but it is supposed to be simplified such that inexperienced users computer users can use their computers for something beyond blood and guts video games. I'm directing my comments here because this is where I downloaded this "software" and where I first looked for solutions to the resulting problems. Possibly in addition to the glowing reviews for this product, a few words could direct someone to some installation help. If this seems to be unreasonable, I'm sorry -- but the answers seem inaccessible, and I'm not a beginner. Please advise.
