I downloaded and installed this program a few days ago. Then uninstalled because I dindn't think it was any good compared to other similar programs, such as Driver Booster and Driver Easy. Yesterday I noticed that the sleep function on my computer didn't work as it should. After some troubleshooting I installed the antimalware software Malwarebytes and executed a scan. It detected 300+ threats of which most were related to SlimWare/SlimDrive. When I tried to click on the download button again today Malwarebytes blocks the URL due to suspected bad URL or unwanted program. See attached blocking report in the Summary below.

Does an automated scan of all of the drivers on your machine, then does a search through it's database to find any driver versions that are newer that can be installed for better performance, more stability, bug fixes, and additional features.
Cons
Used to make far fewer mistakes. Perhaps 1 or 2 incorrectly identified drivers out of around 30 or so. Now, I'm finding it's wrong the majority of the time, downloading older versions & starting the install, which the OS luckily warns me about so I can halt the install, asking if I really want to replace a newer version that's on my machine with the older version SD claimed was an update. Out of 17 items it claimed had updates available, in the end there were actually only 3. It also had me download a driver for a printer that I do not have, claiming the HP Laserjet driver was the updated driver for my HP Inkjet printer. I nearly fell out of my chair when the installation program announced the model of printer it was beginning to install the driver for. So, out of 17 supposed updates it claimed were available for my machine, I had to cancel and abort 14 of them, one at a time as the install routines began to run and announced they were older versions & allowing me 1 chance to abort.

It's still useful for doing the automated internal scan of your machine and proving a nice interface to install updated drivers from... but you need to be alert and be ready to cancel any drivers that it's trying to get you to install that are older and don't just blindly click next, next, next, agree, next, okay... you also have to realize when it's misidentified a driver totally now, and it trying to get you to install a driver for a product you do not own. It used to be far more accurate, but now, if you're not paying attention, it can make you install older drivers, introduce bugs, remove features, and even install drivers for products you don't even have. read everything that appears on your screen, don't blindly click anything, and be prepared to cancel the majority of false "updates" it tells you are available. Windows Update is far more efficient and accurate than SlimDrivers now is. Right now, it borders on dangerous.

I have a yellow flag in Device Manager, an unknown PCI Device. I tried every means to search for it. No result until I found the Slim drivers. It was the Realtek Card Reader Driver. I have great confident on this software. Really like it, 5 stars! It helped me to search the other missing drivers' update too!

- None noted, though I needed to do an extra restart when a Bluetooth device stopped being recognized after updated drivers were installed and 'puter rebooted.

Even though I check for updates on a regular basis, I was surprised to find so many of them needed. I've been having connection problems with USB devices. My Lenovo desktop would stop recognizing attached devices. Also, the computer would not do power-off shutdowns. MS help website mentioned outdated drivers as a possible cause. Despite my efforts to stay current, SlimDrivers said I needed 14 updates. It took 10-15 mins. for download (slow Wi-Fi) but actual install took only a few mins. After reboot, USB worked (so far) but my BT speaker wouldn't connect. A second reboot re-established communication. Win10 has done some updates recently which may have had something to do with my difficulties. SlimDrivers resolved these problems quickly and well. I have used other Slim software over the years with no complaints. Hey, can't beat the price! Updated on Aug 21, 2017CORRECTION to my earlier post: I reran SlimDrivers and found I had only updated 1 of 14 drivers. Drivers are downloaded one at a time, as others here have noted. Not being familiar with the program, this wasn't obvious to me at first. A couple of the needed drivers did actually update simultaneously and were likely all part of the same program or function. SlimDrivers should be clearer on matters like this one, so I'll have to knock a "star" off my rating. Still, it's a good program.

This is a great program and it's free. It has updated my outdated drivers without a single problem and I get only one add and I leave it alone. It does say downloading something but it's not the drivers I have selected so I leave that downloading window alone and after a few seconds a new window opens on top of that one and states my driver is installed and I need to re-start my computer to complete the install which is normal.

There are no Cons for me works like a breeze.

This is the best free driver program available I have tried others and had multiple compatibility issues and/or limited daily downloads. This one has no limitations.
