CNET Editors' review
Do you use more than one Skype account? One developer grew frustrated with the limitations of trying to use his multiple Skype accounts on one machine in one session, so he wrote Skype Launcher, a simple piece of freeware that automatically signs in to multiple Skype accounts with a single click. It automatically detects accounts that are already signed in to Skype and only launches offline accounts.
Skype Launcher opened with the Skype Launcher Configuration utility, to which we added our Skype accounts by entering each account's name and password in a pop-up. A check box let us choose whether to start Skype Launcher as soon as we logged in. Clicking More expanded the interface with a panel full of Advanced Settings, most of which govern how Skype Launcher behaves. We could also click USB to send our data to an external storage device. When we'd finished adding our accounts and selecting our options, we clicked Save, which closed the configuration tool. However, we could reopen it at any time from Skype Launcher's Start Menu folder.
Once we'd set up Skype Launcher with our accounts, it automatically opened them for us so we could enter our password and log in (our preferences) when we clicked Skype Launcher's icon. Skype Launcher automatically checked for updates, too, and also sought an alternative log-on method when a network glitch kicked back one of our accounts during sign-in. We tried Skype Launcher with only two Skype accounts, but the program seems able to handle as many accounts as you can. In any case, Skype Launcher is a good call.
Publisher's Description
From Binaerkombinat:
With Skype Launcher you are not bound to one Skype account system. Skype Launcher enables you to use all your Skype accounts at the same time, machine, and session. It also supports 64-bit systems. With the USB Export function you can use Skypes mobility feature without missing the auto sign-on done via Skype Launcher. You can add, disable or modify Skype accounts via the config tool with ease. If you want to start Skype Launcher with Windows, no problem: Just check the option and all your accounts get signed in when windows starts. Skype Launcher works with Skype 3, Skype 4 and Skype 5.

"Exactly what I needed!"
Version: SkypeLauncher 1.6.2
Pros
Super easy to install and use. It does exactly what it says, it allows you to run multiple instances of Skype with each using a different Skype account. It even runs at startup. Love it!
Cons
I don't enjoy the add for the call recorder but I understand it is necessary to fund a freeware so I'm cool with it.
Summary
If you want to run multiple instances of Skype without having to mess with system files, this is what you need. Download it now and try it.

"trojan according to immunet"
Version: SkypeLauncher 1.5.1
Pros
nothingggg
Cons
immunet quaranteened the installer file as it detected it to be a trojan

i did not even get to try this as immunet quarantined the installer file
the trojan it detected was called W32.Trojan.ccOa
but id rather be safe than sorry
and i know cnet is usually pretty good about keeping malware off their site, but ive seen some crapware on here so im still gonna go with immunet on this one

"Does the job"
Version: SkypeLauncher 1.4
Pros
Easy to use and reliable. Works well in Windows 7.

You have to have one version of Skype open already before you can use it. The small splash screen when you start it takes more than it should to close.

Does what it says and safely enables you to open multiple versions of skype at the same time.
