This browser add-on places several effective desktop enhancements at your fingertips, but it requires a program upgrade to activate more additional features.
Though most come from a single site, a drop-down menu on the bar offers downloads for free XP visual styles, ICQ skins, mouse pointers, Outlook stationery, and more. You'll also be able to download free screensavers, wallpapers, desktop themes, and more. Some run-of-the-mill privacy tools to clear search and browser history and cache are thrown in. The program does have a few welcome extras including a clock, pop-up blocker, news ticker, and the ability to highlight search terms on sites, all of which worked well during assessment.
An upgrade is needed to activate other toolbar customization options like weather forecasts and features for checking e-mail accounts at scheduled intervals. Fortunately, like the program, the upgrade is free. IE users will appreciate the freebies Skins Toolbar for IE has in store.
