This browser plug-in places several desktop enhancements at your fingertips, but requires a program upgrade to activate more additional features.
Compatible with older versions (1.0-1.5), Skins Toolbar for Firefox places yet another toolbar on your Firefox browser window. Though most come from a single site, a drop-down menu on the bar offers downloads for free Yahoo Messenger skins, Winamp skins, XP visual styles, and more. You'll also be able to download free screensavers, wallpaper, desktop themes, and more. Some run-of-the-mill privacy tools to clear search and browser history and cache are also given.
The program does have a few welcome extras, including a clock, pop-up blocker, and news ticker, and the ability to highlight search terms on sites, all of which worked well during assessment. An upgrade is needed to activate other toolbar customization options like weather forecasts and the ability to check e-mail accounts at scheduled intervals. Fortunately, the upgrade and the program are free. Firefox users will appreciate the freebies Skins Toolbar for Firefox has in store.

i use win 98 so firefox is not that cool looking, but this small, light and free utility is very good.
