Because this high-speed PC Card is also downwards compatible with the existing 802.11b standard (11 Mbps), an optimal communication with this standard is guaranteed. The 802.11g wireless LAN standard features transfer speeds up to 54 Mbps. The Wire-less Network PC Card can communicate directly with other wireless USB-, PC Card and CF adapters (both 802.11b and 802.11g) in a ad-hoc net-work or it is hooked into a wireless network featuring an access point and router. If in a wireless network use is made of several access points, the Wireless Network PC Card automatically chooses the strongest signal.
