"Very easy to use and does the job nicely."
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
Easy to install and use. Have it as an icon on my desktop and with a simple click I can create a restore point anytime.
Cons
I would have liked to schedule this program to run automatically but UAC in windows 7 prevents it. I would have given it a 5 star otherwise.
Summary
Great free product to create system restore points.
-
"Nice little utility"
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
Greatly simplifies the process of creating a system restore point.
Cons
Can't really think of anything.
Summary
It does exactly what the name implies: allows you to create a system restore point — fast and with no further fuss. It could have some more advanced features, such as allowing the user to write a name for the restore point, but I guess it would no longer be "single click".
Oh, and CNET really should fix the missing letter O in the title. -
"OK but has it's limitations"
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
Nice to be able to create a restore point without going through all the steps
Cons
It does not have the facility to indicate what the restore point is for.
Summary
A handy little utility to stash away on the desktop for just when you need it.
-
"contains a Generic17.HCU trojan dropper"
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
nothing at all
Cons
contains a Generic17.HCU trojan dropper
Summary
advise to not install
-
"very useful and efficient."
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
quick, clean, & easy way to update my restore points.
Cons
AVG antivirus software automatically removes this program from my system, claiming to find a trojan horse inside it.
-
"Works for me"
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
Once the restore point is created I don't particularly care why it was created. That it's easily made, there and it works is what's important to me.
Cons
It wasn't a terribly difficult ordeal to create a shortcut to it, but why should anyone have to? A simple shortcut should have been an integral part of the installation.
Summary
If you try it you will agree it's much simpler than the Windows default process. Create the shortcut that should have been created for you and enjoy it's simplicity.
Or uninstall it and go back to the stupidly involved Windows process. -
"Works if I could get it to stay on my desktop"
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
When it works it works great..
Cons
Cannot get it to stay on my desktop.. Have to go back to the download every time I want to use it..
Summary
When it works it works great..But it would be nice if it would stay on my desktop..

"Concept is good - But............................."
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
Simple, quick way to create a restore point.
Cons
Can not "name" the restore point to indicate why it was created as you can when created the usual way.
Summary
Good idea. As it is, I would rather put a shortcut to system restore & put up with an additional step to select "create a restore point" because I can then name it to explain why it was created in the first place and/or indicate what changes were about to be made to the system after the restore point.

"Concept is good, fast and easiy to set a restore point."
Version: Single Click Restre Point 1
Pros
It takes a little while for it to set the restore point.
Cons
You can not write in why you set the restore point, for future referance.
Summary
Turns out that just making a shortcut of the System Restore page is about the same and you can name the restore point.
