From SiSoftware :SiSoftware Sandra is a 32 and 64-bit Windows system analyser that includes benchmarking, testing, and listing modules. It tries to go beyond other utilities to show you more of what is really going on under the hood so you draw comparisons at both a high and low-level in a single product. You can get information about the CPU, chipset, video adapter, ports, printers, sound card, memory, network, Windows internals, AGP, ODBC Connections, and USB2.
Version 2007 SP1 adds support for newly released hardware devices (CPUs, chipsets, hardware monitor chips, phones, and PDAs).

Version: SiSoftware Sandra Lite 2007 SP1
Pros: I've always liked Sandra since the very first version
Cons: It says it's compatible with Win2k, but it fails to start because it can't find the DrawShadowText function in comctl32.dll. DrawShadowText is a function in V6 of comctl32.dll.... which only comes with XP.
I think they can statically link the binary and it will work, but until then it won't work on Windows 2000 unless you find and install XP's version of comctl32

"Garyrich is right on - has probs with windows 2000"
Pros: Should be great with XP.
Cons: Re: Garyrich. Ditto with installing it in a Win2000 sys. Would not work.
Did a fresh Win2000 install to confirm - didn't believe these big boys screwed up.
Tried it with W2k sp3,sp4,& rollup. Nothing.

Pros: The information is clear and concise. If you need more information or functionality from the product, purchase the professional edition.
