This free browser add-on lets you browse and compare prices for products from several online stores and offers the latest shopping deals and discount coupons, but it doesn't live up to all its claims. Shoppers Savings Toolbar places an additional toolbar atop your browser and provides numerous links to several well-known search engines like Amazon, eBay, and Shopping.com. You'll also find a pull-down menu that houses discount coupons from popular online stores. In terms of extras, it has a pop-up blocker, Web-based and POP3 e-mail notifier, weather forecaster, and a search history cleaner, all of which delivered well. Moreover, you can opt to place additional buttons in the toolbar, including Microsoft Office and Windows apps (Notepad, Paint, and Calculator). During tests, the program handled nicely on Internet Explorer despite the slow launching of some sites. The publisher's information says support is available for Firefox browsers, but this wasn't the case when we put it to the test. Despite a few setbacks, money-wise shoppers will appreciate the coupons and deals this freebie has in store.
