Professional Video Surveillance Software With Support For Multiple IP Cameras. Security Monitor Pro is the perfect solution for complex security problems. It can monitor and record from up to 8 IP cameras and any number of USB or FireWire webcams simultaneously, create continuous video recordings, and preview multiple cameras in a single window. Each camera has its own individual monitoring and recording settings. When motion is detected, it can send e-mail, record audio and video, and/or sound an audible alarm. In addition, the software maintains a detailed event log. Each camera has its own scheduled on/off times. All video recordings and snapshots can be automatically uploaded to the FTP server of your choice, either on a regular schedule or as soon as the alarm condition is detected. The program can also broadcast (stream) live video and audio from all cameras, which can be viewed from any location over the Internet.
Version 3.11 adds camera status preview: tells at a glance whether a camera is broadcasting, uploading, monitoring, or recording.

Summary
I use Security Monitor Pro to keep a watch on my vacation house in a rural area. I have 3 IP cameras and a USB camera with audio, the software supports all three perfectly, and one of them with a pan-tilt camera and also picks up the audio through the USB camera. Great for keeping an eye on when a repair person is there. I get alerts to my cell phone if an alarm is triggered on an indoor camera and full recording when anyone walks around in view of the outdoor cameras. The detachable windows let me position the camera preview video on my second monitor and I can pan/tilt right from within the software. Excellent product, I recommend it all my neighbors.

Very easy to install and configure. Lots options and many many many cameras supported. Very user friendly. This is how a software interface should work.
Cons
Continuiously keys off of non-movment even at the lowest sensativity. Immeadiatly overwhelmed my email with notifications and had me shut down as a spammer. Heavy memory user with 4 cameras.
Summary
If you like lots and lots of emails that have pictures of nothing different you are gonna love this. If they can fix the non-event event capture problem this would be really great software. After $169 I am really hoping for some kind of fix to the senstivity problem

Needs option to record frames per sec, so a 1 min in real time, is 1 sec of video and can step frame by frame, but watch at a faster rate to same time

It supports all the cameras I have - and I have a lot of different brands. The masking is very flexible so false alerts are eliminated. Excellent tech support.

I am in the security installation business, this is a good product that I am comfortable installing for my customers. Excellent IP camera support, the motion detection works well, and the scheduling is flexible enough to handle whatever needs I have. I am updating all my cctv clients to this software - it is flexible and regularly updated.
