If you need top-notch protection in your terminal emulator, SecureCRT is your pick. The software supports both Telnet and Rlogin protocols, while offering SSH1, SSH2, and RSA authentication. SecureCRT also covers all the bases when it comes to basic terminal-emulator tasks. Automated login, SOCKS firewall support, Zmodem file transferring, and customizable ANSI colors all come stock. If you're a casual user looking for a basic tool for logging in to your favorite BBS, more user-friendly options are available. The full version of SecureCRT also is a bit pricey when compared to other terminal-emulator products. However, if you need excellent encryption, $99 is a small price to pay.
