The first time it is run, it will ask for a password, then generate a public/private key pair.The public key allows people to send you messages, and thus should be shared. The private key allows you to read messages encrypted with the public key, so it must be kept safe.Because of this, your private key will be encrypted with your password. Even if someone gains access to your phone, he will be unable to read your messages without your password.
