This password storage application is less robust than the common variety spreadsheet program it resembles. Secret's interface is little more than some buttons above a spreadsheet type list.

Operating this app is a mere matter of entering password information. Columns listed are Group Name, Web site, User ID, Password, Description, Date Changed, Prior User ID, and Prior Password. Function buttons let you easily hide the Password and Prior columns. You can also export all files with a click, or move to the first or last record with as much trouble.

If Secrets sounds like a specialized spreadsheetlike app, that's intentional. Save for a function to automatically close the app after a select number of seconds, there isn't anything about Secrets that isn't available with your generic spreadsheet application. The program does include a Password Generator, but that function falls short of similar freeware apps.

If you know how to create spreadsheet column headers then you might want to skip this app. And even if you aren't familiar with building a spreadsheet, you should explore some of the other options in this genre, which includes some freeware entries that have more user options.
