Publisher's description of Scripture Paraclete
Scripture Paraclete allows the user to enter the book, chapter, and verse of scripture. Then, Paraclete launches Internet Explorer with the passage on Biblegateway. Then, the user may copy and paste scripture into Paraclete to remove extraneous characters for export into another application such as a word processor. Also, version 1 allows users to lookup words through Merriam Webster's Website.

This free program doesn't provide the assistance we expected--and to be generous, only a minimal amount of convenience can be claimed from using this app.
Scripture Paraclete's interface is plain and offers three functions. We were able to type in the name of one of the books of the Bible along with its chapter and verse numbers, and the program instantly launched the Biblegateway.com site with the specified verse at hand. We also could type words in the app's second group of entry fields, and the Merriam-Webster online dictionary launched with the word's definitions. The third field let us paste passages to quickly remove extra characters, such as verse numbers and footnote indicators, so we could paste the cleaned text in other documents.
We have to admit we were surprised that it provided only browser launchers and didn't even let us type in terms to locate biblical references to subjects. We suppose Scripture Paraclete could be useful for researchers and dedicated Bible readers by jumping to known passages and defining words, but not any more convenient than it is to do so online at existing sites without this app. But it's easy to use, so novices as well as experts will have no trouble mastering it.
