You won't find absolute perfection in this free desktop app for streaming Internet Radio, but you will find a mess of language options, preset stations, and a few extra functions stuffed into a very light, fast app. For casual listeners, the combination will be just right. Not every preset station will be a success--we found that many URLs lead to a Web site, not to a stream. If that's the case, you can follow the link from Screamer Radio, do a little searching around the site, and manually enter the URL. Unfortunately, there's no way to edit the global library for everyone's benefit.
As for the perks, you're looking at two sound effects, saving favorite stations (but not songs,) and audio recording--you'll be able to easily open the Recordings folder from the app interface. With Screamer Radio, you'll also be able to mute audio and do some manual configuring. It's a great deal for those looking for ease of use and an easy way to experiment with new stations and sounds in a set-it-and-forget-it format. If you're looking for more advanced features like visualizers, saving individual songs, and socializing, however, this isn't the radio app for you.

Version: Screamer Radio 0.3.8
"Great program to listen to online radio stations"
Pros: Small program.
Integrated "What I'm listening to" feature to use with Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger.
It also has lots of presets of online radio stations.
You can add stations as well.
Cons: The "Favorites" list doesn't seem to work properly.
So , it's not possible to put your most favorite ones in the list.
Only displays the artist and song title.
It would be better to integrate the music station name into the "What I'm listening to" feature in Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger.

Version: Screamer Radio 0.3.8
"Works great! Lean and effective."
Pros: Simple lean program which does the job. You can also manually edit your favorites in the accompanying XML file and so add your own stations when trey are not in the library. There is adequate technical stream info.
Cons: Some radio stations send a continuous stream which is then recorded as 1 big file with many songs. Others resend ID tags so one song is split up into e.g. 7 files. Joining them gives hickups in the music. The best stations send each ID-tag once so you get 1 mp3 file per song. This comment tells more about the radio stations then about this program which in my view is excellent.

Version: Screamer Radio 0.3.8
Pros: Exactly what ive been lookin for, it lets you create a dirctory for the files to go to and makes sub folders automaticaly for differnt sreams. It work perfect with Itunes. O ya did i say its FREE.
Cons: The only problem i have found with it is that only some of the streams have timeing marks, but if you listen then you can make your own, by any means it is not a reason not to get it.

"Superb simple+stable player/recorder in system-tray!+msn funcktion!!"
Pros: Great simple and stable program wich plays and records mp3 from online radiostations.
Has the msn-player/radio function wich allows everybody to see the steam you are listening to(if you permit!).
Has a lot of preset stations and you can also add your number one station.
These are easy preset in your personal favorit-radiolist..
Records from the stream only the radio but not all the other sounds you hear from browsing internet sites!
It allows you to minimise in the systemtray (next to the clock!) wich is a lot more useful than listining to the radio online trough the browser with popup window!
It also has a lot of options such as compression and 12 diff. languages.
Its a nice interface so it doesn't give you a lot of buttens with dumm options!
The recorder lets you record in a preset time. So you can record for 80 minutes to burn directly on cd.
Also it gives you the option the record a single song ore the complete remix.
It automaticly gives you the songname and and artistname.(radiostation must have this option!) Very usefull and you'll never forget the name of the artist ore typing your fingers bleu!
No buffering delay detected by me!
Very small program; no need for a lot of diskspace!
Try it you'll like it!
Pardon my French i'm Dutch..
Cons: Its hasn't got a bass/trebble option.

Version: Screamer Radio 0.3.8
Pros: Then there are some freeware gems you just have to download. I never thought internet radio would be for me. Now I wonder if I am ever going to stop listening to it. I am a very difficult person but ever since I got this product I haven't stopped using it. It is great. Its greatest asset is how small it is. It is very easy on resources.
Cons: That I didn't find it sooner.
