You won't find absolute perfection in this free desktop app for streaming Internet Radio, but you will find a mess of language options, preset stations, and a few extra functions stuffed into a very light, fast app. For casual listeners, the combination will be just right. Not every preset station will be a success--we found that many URLs lead to a Web site, not to a stream. If that's the case, you can follow the link from Screamer Radio, do a little searching around the site, and manually enter the URL. Unfortunately, there's no way to edit the global library for everyone's benefit.
As for the perks, you're looking at two sound effects, saving favorite stations (but not songs,) and audio recording--you'll be able to easily open the Recordings folder from the app interface. With Screamer Radio, you'll also be able to mute audio and do some manual configuring. It's a great deal for those looking for ease of use and an easy way to experiment with new stations and sounds in a set-it-and-forget-it format. If you're looking for more advanced features like visualizers, saving individual songs, and socializing, however, this isn't the radio app for you.

"Top Marks for Screamer Radio"
Pros: There are some truly crap radio players and recorders out there. This IS NOT one of them. It doesn't look fancy or expensive (it's free) but it actually works and works well. The recording is dead easy and plays back in Media Player exactly as good as the original. You can paste your own URL from Media Player or wherever into it. I wasted a lot of time and failed to get others to record. This one works just great. I am a happy customer!
Cons: It could look better but I couldn't really care as it's free.

"Wow shareware seldom is this great"
Pros: Plays music, no ads, no fuss, like an endless cd collection. No sign of Spyware. Very Sweet
Cons: The instructions are not clear on how to ad more content (find more channels) or if that is even possible.
