Publisher's description
From Scorched3D :At its lowest level, Scorched 3D is just an artillery game with two+ tanks taking turns to destroy opponents in an arena. Choose the angle, direction and power of each shot, launch your weapon, and try to blow up other tanks. That's basically it.
But Scorched 3D can be a lot more complex than that, if you want it to be. You can earn money from successful battles and use it to invest in additional weapons and accessories. You can play with up to twenty four other players at a time, mixing computer players with humans. There's a variety of changing environmental conditions and terrains to be dealt with. After the end of each round (which ends when everybody dies or there's only one person left), you get to buy stuff using the prize money you won from previous matches. Version 41.1 fixes some small performance issues with version 41.

Version: Scorched3D 41.1
Pros: For a free game the graphics are excellent, it totally playable.
Cons: However i just get the feeling that i except something else from the game. This is only my view and not really anything bad about it, You could certainly do a lot worse to pass the time. But could you find better, hmmmm i think so

"One of The funnest free games on download.com"
Pros: EXELENT! AWSOME!
This is an amazing game. It is like pocket tanks but with amazing visuals 3D, tons of things to be, tanks, airplanes, and even bender from futurerama!
you can play with up to 24 people at a time, you can even play with 24 of your friends on one computer. It would take a long time though lol.
Anyways, the background effects in this game are AWSOME too (NPC) , birds flying by, airplanes circling around the map. There are a ton of weapons too, rockets bombs, napalm, etc etc etc. There are defense weapons too like shields, armor etc.
Bottom line, this game is so much fun you will never be able to stop playing.
PS. It works on my vista like a charm.
Cons: This is not a game for people with low end computers. I have a moderate graphics card, and 2 GB of ram and I get some slow frame rates on the highest detail settings.

Version: Scorched3D 41.1
"Well done, the collateral damage addition is intriguing"
Pros: The newest version has the addition of 'civilians' that you can eliminate for points... although it does seem to encourage bystander carnage, the effect of getting a farm (with the accompanying flying cows) is reminiscent of Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail scene of the castle launching cows at the crusaders.
Cons: It encourages bystander carnage.
