Drive, as an electronic device, or as a combination of mechanics and electronics, is performed by its absolute physical speed and data input and output rates. On the other hand, any a drive is connected to a system, as storage and/or host of virtual memory. So as a host of a part of memory system, it is performance sure to have more influence to wide range of applications. SciMark Drives is a software pack in SciMark serials to measuring performance of drives on the operating system level, in order to see how fast it could be in real life. There would be a large file made, but nothing will be more than write and read. It is good to measure the throughout of most kinds of drives.
