Publisher's description of SafeSystem
From GemiScorp:SafeSystem is the perfect complement to any antivirus or antispyware program and allows you to prevent access to your personal and important files and folders, as well as protect and guarantee the integrity and functioning of your system. It can make your files and folders completely invisible, inaccessible, or simply read-only. It can prevent change of configuration and accidental (or even intentional) system files deletion or alteration, so your PC will be healthy and more stable. Version 2006 has new features, and improvements available in this major update includes a completely redesigned interface. The new tab-based interface is more intuitive and makes it easy to protect the Control Panel applets, Administrative Tools and System Key files. Added some important security-related tweaks, tricks and hacks for optimizing, enhancing and securing the system.

Safely apply protection to system areas and files with this easy-to-use program. Creating a backup to easily restore registry values gets SafeSystem 2006 off to a great start.Clear warnings about making changes to key system areas proves this app considers the less experienced user. Still, this isn't a program for the novice user, as there's always the potential to harm your system if you don't know what you're doing.
The tabbed interface is organized into four areas: Control Panel, System Files, My Files, and System Tweaks. Check boxes make it easy to protect specific file types or prevent access to Add/Remove Programs, Display, and other areas. System Tweaks delves even deeper to hide specific elements, such as screensaver, appearance, and background tabs. Especially useful are options to block access to drives, context menus, and registry-editing tools. Specific files are easy to protect, as SafeSytem 2006 lets you hide or make them read-only.
There are only a few options in the Preferences tab, but setting the Administrator password is disabled in the trial version. You can easily set a protection toggle hot key, and set warnings when certain actions occur. Some changes take effect immediately, but most require a system restart.
By preventing users from accessing key system areas or making unwanted changes, SafeSystem can help intermediate-to-advanced users protect their computers. The standard 30-day trial is more than adequate to test this effective program.
