CNET Editors' review
New document file formats are always cropping up, and on the whole that's a good thing; specialized formats reflect evolving technology. The only real drawback is that in order to make use of these new formats, you often need viewers or players that you don't already have. And who wants a hard drive crammed with software that can only do one thing? STDU Viewer attempts to solve this problem by letting you view a variety of file formats all in one simple program.
STDU Viewer's interface is plain and looks a lot like other document viewers, with a main display pane, a few menus, and a toolbar. It's very much like a basic PDF viewer, but in addition to PDF files it can also handle TIFF, DjVu, text files, Open XML Paper Specification, Comic Book Archive files, JBIG2 files, and a variety of image formats. The program supports bookmarking and has a handful of other basic features, including text and image selection, zooming, full-screen views, and the ability to search within documents. Although for the most part the program is quite intuitive and will be familiar to anyone who's used a document viewer before, we do wish that the program came with a Help file. Overall, STDU Viewer didn't knock our socks off, but it is a nice choice for people who need to view some of the less-common document formats that aren't supported by the average document viewer.
STDU Viewer installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to everyone.

"A nice file viewer in two megabytes."
Version: STDU Viewer 1.5.647
Pros
* It is small
* It views multiple file formats, including PDF, TIFF, DJVU, XPS, and more.
* It allows you to select text and specific chunks of a document.
* It is free to downloadCons
* it is not open source (whah)
Summary
STDU is a great little file viewer for windows that isn't really bloated. It is under 3 megabytes and yet views all the files you need it to, but it isn't open source, which I don't really understand, because they are giving it away for free, but oh well, it is still free to download, and as long as you are not taking it apart, you are using it legally.

"Great document viewer"
Version: STDU Viewer 1.5.402
Pros
Bookmarks
Remembers the documents you had open and what page you were on, if you set it in the options
Faster than other readers
Less memory takenCons
The bookmark feature could travel with the document, instead it saves it in the user profile folder on the computer so that you have to export them to go with your file.
Summary
One of the best PDF and document viewers I've used. It's much faster in starting than Adobe Reader or Foxit. Doesn't have the vulnerability that those 2 have either. I use it for all PDF viewing on all my computers. I highly recommend it.
