Version: SI Cataloguer 2.2
very small program (323 kb); uninstalls well (left only 1 registry item)
30 day trial, $19.95 to buy; no help file or online help despite links; both given website (which is wrong) and website link in software itself are red-flagged by McAfee SiteAdvisor
I specifically wanted something to catalog my CD music collection, and this isn't worth $20 - it's not worth anything, if you ask me. It may catalog data discs/DVD's in addition to CD's, but the fact that nothing happens when you click on help/help topics, or press F1 as the message below the active window so helpfully suggests already makes this software not worthy of paying anything for. Clicking on the link to the online help is just as useless, since there is no help file there, either.
Besides being hopelessly "help-less," the "publisher's website" provided to Download.com is a link to voicecallcentral.com, which has nothing about this software. The website is red-flagged by McAfee SiteAdvisor for links to its UK division, which reportedly has adware in its downloads. Opening the supposed "online help" link takes one to softinstitute.com, which is correct, but is also red-flagged by McAfee. Checking the McAfee report showed quite a few downloads there which included known spyware.
I don't think this software is worth paying money for, and I really don't think it is worth dealing with the adware tendencies of the publisher.
