You can reduce the time you spend filling out Web forms and logging onto subscription sites with RoboForm. The version 6 update improved usability significantly and replaced the old, clunky autofill window with a less-obtrusive toolbar. If you don't like the standard toolbar placement, you can run it at the bottom of the browser instead. That's the standard placement for Mozilla-based browsers. The program uses encryption algorithms such as Blowfish and AES to protect your data and includes a password generator. You can set up multiple identities with different credit-card numbers, passwords, and contact information. The trial limits the tab instances on each identity to three, but you can make plenty of identities.
Our favorite feature is Login, which with one click will go to a Web page, fill in a form, and submit your information. The program handles check boxes and radio buttons and supports about 20 languages. The new Search field in the toolbar makes finding and accessing any information quick, and we appreciate support for hot keys. Besides returning matching logins and other RoboForm entries, the search box will offer to search Google, Yahoo, and the Merriam-Webster Dictionary for your term. RoboForm will save active Web users a lot of time.

the only con is when I forget the drive at home and I cant remember any of my passwords at work.
Summary
I've been using Roboform for the past six years and never had any issues. I save all my passords on it for work and personal and take it back in forth. I have the latest windows OS on my home computer and we still use 03 at work. I have no problems with Roboform. I dont ever store anything on my hard drive for security reason and this product has not let me down. as with anything you should always back up your data.

Honesty is not this companies best policy. Changes what it has told customers and then changes policies to charge once you're hooked using this. BEWARE YOU'LL GET CAUGHT TOO.
Summary
I paid for the upgrade, begrudgingly, I felt almost forced to having used the programme for some years and was very happy. I then find out that the upgrade wants me to use the 'roboform everywhere' sync where I must sync my details and passwords to their servers. I told them I didn't want to do this, that I only wanted the upgrade and to use on one desktop. They told me they would send me another invoice to pay more for using on ONE computer. I feel cheated. They get the trust of customers then change the goal posts and begin to charge and if you're happy to be caught, then good. But realise that they will continue to charge annually. I hope they go out of business. The money I paid is now useless unless I sync with their servers and I won't do it. I think I'd rather lose the money than risk trusting sharks like this. I hope that the more unhappy customers keep writing reviews and keep telling more and more people. Choose to use it at your peril, but it's would make more sense to find a reputable company that has some level of respect for its long standing customers.

You may notice that cnet points out there is a "newer version" of this program available... WARNING ... DO NOT BUY OR DOWNLOAD Roboform 7...
The version up to 6.10.2 were a lifetime free upgrade for roboform pro users..
however at 7 this was quietly changed to a yearly subscription service disabling the program after 30 days.. Answer ... DO NOT INSTALL OR BUY VERSION 7....PERIOD
They can go and join winzip and the other loser program makers with this rip off!

You transfer all your bookmarks and this popup starts to appear every time you launch the program. You say NO and the program continues as normal.
But after some time of this, when you press NO, it will not run. So all your hard work spent transferring all your accounts is wasted unless you buy the freaking thing! But WASN'T IT FREE?
Any positive review you see for this software is written by people who don't mind being conned into paying $30 for what's supposed to be a free program, or they haven't used it long enough for the program to stop working on them.
I run websites and make a living off the web. I offer free software but people are very suspicious, they wonder where the con is. Roboform people are the ones who spoil it oven for the honest ones and should not be allowed to exist.
If I had time and money i'd sue them for every instance they claim this software is free.
There you go, I wasted 5 mins making a silly account so I could write this, and then spent another 15 mins of my valuable time writing this up so that hopefully I might warn someone. And I did this FOR FREE. All on robocop's bill. I'll slag them off FOR YEARS AND YEARS -
