Editors' review

RoboForm is an application that can assist you in speeding up your Internet experience by bookmarking sites and entering previously saved passwords.

As soon as you install RoboForm a toolbar will be added to your Web browser. The design is very sleek and it blends very well so that you hardly notice the addition. If you're always worried about forgetting the passwords for your favorite Web sites, this can be very helpful. It's relatively easy to figure out how to use most of the features, but there are also tutorial videos on the publisher's site (which will pop up after you install RoboForm). These are very helpful and show the steps clearly.

You will be able to save passwords, bookmark Web site addresses, and generate new passwords. RoboForm even does the job of logging in for you once you've set up all of the information needed. Our favorite feature is the Password Generator, since it makes it easier to regularly change passwords to keep your accounts safe. All of this data can either be saved on just your computer or both on your computer and online through syncing. You can set this up in the beginning or change it later.

You shouldn't encounter any problems during the download and installation process. You are required to close certain programs in order for it to continue installing correctly, so make sure you save any work before installing. We recommend this handy browser add-on for any user who spends a lot of time surfing the Web.

Editors' note: This is a review of the full version of RoboForm 7.8. The trial version is limited to 30 days.

    " RoboForm"

    July 04, 2014   |   By dquin656

    Version: RoboForm

I have many email accounts and it is easy to choose which one to use, because of the toolbar.
When you have to change a password, it automatically replaces the old password with the new one, when you reply to the question, do you want to save this information. Can maintain logins via it's interface

Even with the cons, I still find it one of the easiest and best password keepers available.

I know there isn't much to do about it, but I don't like the Goggle add-on. I know it will do everything the IE tool will do, but it being on the bottom of the screen, it sometimes blocks fields that needs to be entered.

The other problem is that many sites have popup logins now, and RoboForm cannot submit the form. But, it will fill the form (usually) and you just click the submit form manually on the login popup. Not a severe issue.

There are also more sites that use different pages for the login. 1st page you enter your login id, 2nd page you enter your password, 3rd page you answer your "secret" question answer. I've had trouble getting this to work.

I want my daughters to try it, but there is no longer a "free" trial version. The old one used to limit you to 20 logins. Please bring the "free trial" version back. Even if you lower it to 10 or 5 logins, so people can really get the experience of trying it out, before they buy.

Since my primary browser is IE, I very happy with it. I've had it for about 4-5 years and still feel the most comfortable with it's features. I have tried a few others that are rated highly, but being lazy, I never got comfortable about their functions and how it works.
