Who needs a standalone Flash video player? Mostly Web developers and the people who know them. If that describes you, check out Riva FLV Player, a modest freeware program that lets you navigate backward and forward through FLV videos and play them in a loop.
The interface is simple and self-explanatory, and the playback didn't give us any trouble during tests. You can "pin" the player on top of your other windows, and unlike some similar programs, it automatically adjusts the display window to the size of the movie. For the small number of people who need a program like this, Riva FLV Player is a reasonable choice.

This one's much better than the other ones I've had.. I used to use one just called "Flash Video Player", but the loop never worked, and it didn't readjust to the actual video size. This one, however, is great!
