Publisher's description
From Wieser Software :RIP Vinyl is a direct to disk recorder that allows you to record from any audio source on your sound card, and produce WAV or MP3 files, which can then be burned onto a CD-R or iPod for your own personal use while away from home. The software automatically detects tracks using parameters you configure, and can record a 78 on a 45 RPM player. In addition, it automatically discards tracks shorter than a threshold. The latest version includes features to allow you to schedule recordings, and break tracks after a fixed time, to aid transfer of books on tape.
The software compresses to disk while recording. Compression is done via Microsoft's Audio Compression Manager (MSACM) and can use any ACM codec that is licensed for encoding. The software includes a peak VU meter.
Supports command line arguments to specify recording source, recording duration, and maximum track length
