Pros

This is the must have program to change windows 7 startup sound. Search "change windows 7 startup sound" for instructions.

It can also be used for all kinds of other stuff.

Cons

This program can kill windows if used incorrectly.

Summary

Don't use if you don't know what you're doing, otherwise you'll end up having to reinstall windows.

Don't have Vista Visual Master etc. for making themes? backup explorer then edit for one FREE! Can't seem to get old programs into a newer version of Windows? Reshacker is here! Want to change the images, titles, etc. in a program INCLUDING Windows? RESHACKER IS HERE! It can do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best software around for editing a computer! Regedit = to complicated, even for a PC wiz like me.

This software can be used illegally, other then changing things then selling them. You can edit serial key strings and once you are not connected to the web install programs free!

"A good idea but is it safe?"

Pros

I saw a video on You Tube about using Windows Media Player 9 and 10 on Windows 7 by using this product to edit the files. And WMP 9 and 10 did run on Windows 7 in that video. So I was tempted to get this to run WMP 9,Outlook Express and other Windows XP software that you cannot install or run on Windows 7. But I was not sure how safe it is. For amateurs like me,if you hack the wrong program file you could damage Windows making Windows not working. And then you will have to reinstall Windows.So this is only for those who know what they are doing.

Summary

I was tempted to use this as I love my Windows XP software and want to run it on Windows 7. And this tool can help you run software that you otherwise could not run on your PC.For example,you can run Microsoft software such as WMP 9,and Outlook express on Windows 7 if you hack the right files to get those apps running.And like most Windows 7 and Windows Vista users,I would love to have my Windows XP software,such as Windows Media player 9 and more running on Windows 7.and this tool called do that for you-BUT only if you know how to use it and what files to edit.Which I don't.
