It's great at converting into many formats.
Cons
It must connect to the Internet in order for you to use it. So if your internet connection is down forget it. It won't work.
The other thing I don't like is that is is very slow to convert, but that might just be my older laptop.Summary
Applian has awful customer service, no phone line, just email. Sometimes they take days to answer your questions.
If you want help you have to dig around in their forums for it.
I bought their entire suite. Their products are generally good, but don't believe them when they tell you that upgrades are cheap.
In fairness you do get like 60 days for a free upgrade. This company needs to improve their customer service. They are just awful. Justremember if you want to convert files your internet access had better be up and running.
This stupid copy protection if I had known before I paid for it would have prevented me from buying it. -

avi clips from my canon camera have a black border on the right after converting them to wmv of the same size. startup tip pop-up cannot seem to be turned off.

It's really easy to use and it's menu is set up for the non tech savvy person.
Cons
What I really don't like is that the demo will only convert the first 90 seconds of the file. It's not what I would call a fully operational demo.

I use the program to convert flv files to wmv or avi, with several choices of video quality. Easy to strip audio off a video, with several choices of audio quality. The whole program is easy to use.
Cons
Does not convert flv to mpg.
