This program helps users rename JPEG files using predefined file-naming formats, but it lacks a much-needed help file to get you started. Rename JPEG Files has a dull, Windows-based interface with ample buttons and text boxes. Users can specify a target directory that contains JPEG files, and the program offers several naming options, such as the full weekday and month names. This file-naming application can also display information about a JPEG file, such as filename, creation date, and resolution. Users should be warned that the program will change the names of all the files in a folder. During our tests, it failed to rename all the files inside a folder, and an error message constantly appeared. Though all users will find the filename-building function useful, this program's failure to rename all files is disappointing.Publisher's description

Version: Rename JPEG Files 1.2
Pros: Basic flexible program. A throwback. More programs should be like this! Others are too fancy and not nearly as flexible.
Cons: Would have been 5 out of 5 if it allowed to select a group of files instead of being forced to change an entire folder. Also, I'd like to be able to pick the starting and ending sequence number.

Version: Rename JPEG Files 1.2
"Didn't do what I wanted it to do"
Pros: Not what I could use
Cons: I got frustrated with it and ended up deleteing it. Not what I was looking for, I thought it was with it's wording.
