Remote Browser's claim to fame in the crowded browser field is a small, movable control window that, unfortunately, may only serve to get in the way. Its main window launches at minimal size, but it can be easily set to full size. Oddly enough, it returns to its preset size upon restarting the program.

Rather than including the usual toolbar, Remote Browser sports a small window it calls a remote control that features navigation buttons, e-mail client, print button, URL bar, favorites, and Internet options. Unfortunately, there were a couple of things we found annoying with this setup. For one thing, when maximized, the UI takes up the full screen, including the taskbar and system tray. The remote control window gets in the way of surfing since it can't be hidden or even minimized without minimizing the entire browser. While some may like having the majority of their screen devoted to the current Web page, the option to display a toolbar and configure what is featured on the remote window is greatly missed.

People who are terribly tired of toolbar after toolbar may appreciate it, but we find it hard to get enthused about Remote Browser.
