"HORRIBLE-Save yourself time and money!"

December 13, 2014  |  By sewnqlt21842

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

I don't see any pros.

Cons

Says it found tons of errors. Stalled at 80% after 1 and 1/2 hours. Called tech support. Another 1 1/2 hours and the guy tells me "You have a problem on your computer!. You need to repair it! " DUH! Why do you think I just paid $69 bucks for this piece of crud??? Needed a full bottle of wine when I was done.

Summary

DON'T get it!!!!!!!

"Total RIPOFF"

December 09, 2014  |  By madwac

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

NONE! This is a total scam!

Cons

This software will find problems that do not exist. When you try to run the software to fix bogus problems, it fails. Company will not refund your hard earned dollars.

Summary

I wish that I had found this review page before I downloaded and installed this product. I only lost $50 on it and so consider myself lucky (so far). We'll see what it does to my computer in the future. I've re-learne a valuable lesson. Windows based computers are extremely vunerable to B.S. like this nonsense. I will NEVER waste another dime on a Windows based PC again. I've just bought a new Mac and I will stick with Mac from now on. Windows SUX!!

"Their support is pretty much non-existent"

November 04, 2014  |  By titswiggle

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

This used to be a good program but isn't anymore - no support and even when I did run it almost immediately it would send me a message saying I had over a thousand errors on my computer. I would run it again and the same thing would happen. I think it just sends the message whether you have errors or not.

Cons

Non-existent support. They take your money and run.

Summary

I had bought Reimage in October for three computers. I installed it on my laptop but was unable to get Reimage to fix it so I restored it to the factory default settings. Doing this removed all my software including my Reimage Software. So then I reinstalled the software but it wouldn't work with that key any longer. Therefore I contacted Reimage to get a new key so I could run the program. That was around the middle of October. I tried to get hold of Support via email and by telephone. They told me they would get back to me - but didn't. I waited on the phone for an hour and still nada. I am still waiting to this date. A couple of days ago they sent me an email and said if they didn't hear from me within 72 hours they would deem my problem was fixed. I emailed and said it is not fixed (several times I emailed them). No answer - of course. Please do not buy this product. I am disgusted with this "support". I hope my review will deter just one person from buying this product. I am so angry.

"Endless loops, new crashes, Avoid it"

August 04, 2014  |  By videochief

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

NONE that I have been able to witness.

Cons

PCIMAGE hung in a endless all night loop. Tried again. My PC crashed in ways it had never crashed before. New errors it did have before appeared. Known errors were not fixed. Now even though I am not using it, I get a popup that it has found 123 errors, do I want to repair them? The 800 number given for support is answered by high pressure sells to have them (somebody, unidentified) repair your computer remotely for $199.

Summary

Avoid.

"Doesn't even deserve a rating"

February 13, 2014  |  By H3yJud3

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

Zero Zilch Nada

Cons

This program messed three of my computers up big time. One totally messed up Office 2013 to the point where I had to reinstall. The second one it would not update Windows and the third one and probably the most serious was it removed my computer at work from our network and would not let me rejoin without really working at it. I am not a satisfied customer and can't get my money back because I uninstalled the program.

Summary

Don't waste your time and money with this nonsense. Sure, it sounds wonderful but this program does not understand all the different configurations that are out there. It is more trouble than it is worth. Gets an "F" from me!!

"well, I won't be buying Reimage"

November 19, 2013  |  By suds_al

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

I really appreciate the reviews on this site and will not, based on what I just read, be purchasing a Reimage license. I am intrigued (and think it a superb idea) at the possibility of getting my OS repaired through a utility that downloads missing and/or corrupted files. I do not, however, do business with ANY company that 1) exhibits poor technical support, or; 2) 'sneaks' software I did not request onto my computer, or; 3) promises a 'money back' enticement and then makes that process deliberately arduous. I am now waiting for a responsive and ethical company to adopt a similar "assess, determine, download to fix" model.

Cons

No other comment.

Summary

Many thanks to those who suffered at the hands of Reimage and were willing to share their experience with others.

"Great when in works, a disaster when it doesn't"

August 16, 2013  |  By OhioGuy44

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

When this product works (which is most of the time), it can save you many headaches in replacing corrupt operating files and correcting other problems. Can do things that sfc /scannow can not.

Cons

If your computer ever fails to reboot after a Reimage session you're in a world of hurt. I contacted customer service and was taken aback by their lack of concern and their feeling that you should be happy to wait for four days from them to schedule a technician to connect with your ailing computer after you boot to special CD. In my case the first "repair session" was unsuccessful and my computer would still not boot. There I was back at the bottom of the queue. After I complained bitterly about this, they did move things up a bit, but still were not very accommodating. Since it was their software that corrupted my computer, you'd think they'd be a little more attentive. In the end the second repair session did not correct things, and I was at the bottom of the queue once again for a third session. At that point, a week later, I gave up and did a fresh install and restored data from my online backup source.

Summary

Just as my subject line says: Good when it works, a disaster when it doesn't. I would recommend staying about from this product until they greatly improve their customer service, which should start with hiring a sufficient number of techies to help with customer problems in a timely fashion.

I give them an F+ for customer service, because they did occasionally put in a little relevant material into their form emails. You know the type: sprinkled with expressions of how much they value you as a customer while at the same time tell you that they really won't accommodate your needs and showing that their time is much more valuable than yours. It's clear to me that basic problem is that they do not hire enough techies to help all of the people who have trouble with their software. Otherwise, they wouldn't make you wait so long.

"Stay away from this company."

January 06, 2013  |  By ljlane52

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

Didn't find anything I could verify as a problem.

Cons

I used their online chat for tech support and they told me there was nothing they could do for me. I was with Mark for 39.38 minutes and I used print screen to record my so-called help to no avail. A company not worthy of your money.

Summary

A not so quick fix that is just out like many others to "Maybe" fix a problem but didn't even work and did more harm than good to me. My Internet Explorer is totally useless. It deleted my tools bar and made IE a mess. I have tried everything to get it fixed. MS FixIt Center and a reinstall and Nothing. I have gone to chat rooms to see if others know how to fix MS IE and no one was helpful. Don't use this company.

"Former Reimage Product Champion now Avoids Reimage"

August 06, 2012  |  By lschwartz6

 |  Version: Reimage 1223

Pros

Frequently corrects OS performance problems.

Cons

Automatically installs unauthorized 3rd party software on your computer that hijacks your browser.

Summary

CAUTION! This company, Reimage, has changed. I was a champion of their product for years, but now avoid them like the plague. Reimage recently initiated a policy wherein a browser plug-in called "Babylon" is automatically installed on your computer during the course of downloading the Reimage software. In addition to my own terrible experience with Babylon, I did some research that revealed:

Babylon was developed by Babylon Ltd., an Israeli public company (TASE: BBYL). It is, among other things, a browser plug-in for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. This toolbar hijacks default browser settings, does not provide an option to automatically revert to previous settings, and is infamous for the complicated un-installation process. This behavior qualifies the software as malware in many users' opinions.

As suggested above, I found it to be very difficult to remove Babylon from my system. I personally gave up the effort. I contacted Reimage support and (after trying to talk me out of the uninstall) the tech logged into my computer to try to uninstall it himself. It took him 57 minutes to complete the process.

It is my guess that Babylon, Ltd. purchased Reimage and that they are using the Reimage repair program as a Trojan horse to proliferate their browser technology. For me, the Babylon browser is markedly substandard and objectionable. Prior to purchasing Reimage, I would urge all potential customers to research "Babylon" to understand what they're in for.
