You also can scan and remove invalid software data and Start menu information from the registry. Furthermore, this utility can kill Trojan horses that use the registry to spread bugs that can damage your PC.

"Average product... Get Registry Mechanic!"
Pros: It gets rid of many registry problems
Cons: 1. Not customizable at all
2. Detects and gets rid of less registry problems than registry mechanic while costing the same amount of money.
3. There is only full scan. No customizable scan or quick scan
4. slow at scanning
5. clumped interface

Version: Registry Medic 3.01 build 408
Pros: Caution is advised when using any app. of this type. I read all of the reviews on this app. and feel the complaints are for the most part, not valid. I,ve read complaints on everything from the trial limitations to the interface. Any trial in this type app. will be limited. The interface isn't. bad at all. In fact it is quite easy to figure out. The company is also easy to locate and access thru the internet. Support isn't great but is there if you can display a little patients. Finds a lot of "REAL" invalad entrys if you take the time to let it complete the scan. READ,
each before you delete. Also a nice feature is the back-up, restore which is option packed. Worth the money if you need a reg. cleaner but spend the extra $10 dollars to get a re-install disk. Then you won't have trouble re-registering your product.
Cons: Again, not recomedded for a new machine or experimental use. If your machine is running slow do a disk clean-up and de-frag first. Than if you need to, use this app. for reg. cleaning. If you need a free app. or you are looking for a free clean-up this app. is "NOT" the one.

"About as useful as teats on a boar."
Pros: ?????????
Cons: I installed the program and ran it. To my horror, I got a "class not registered" error whenever I clicked on the "scan registry" button. To make matters worse, I received no response to repeated help requests to their bogus "customer support" department. From reading the other reviews posted here, it appears I was not alone in my frustration to get help. After flushing 30 bucks down the toilet, I went back to using an older version of Registry Medic, when the bogus fly-by-night operation of scam artists at Iomatic were called Iomation. With all the register cleaning programs out there that do a much better job for the same money, one would need to get their head examined to give this company a nickel for any of their products.
