Whether you want to get the latest Redskins' news or buy fan paraphernalia, this free toolbar has it covered.

Redskins Toolbar (for Firefox) is published by AOL, and it shows. In addition to asking you to set your home page to the main AOL page and making its search engine your default selection, the toolbar sports links to AOL's mail and instant messenger, although they're customized to show your team support. And, of course, you'll have to create an AOL account if you don't already have one. Colorful buttons pull up the latest Redskins news stories, direct you to a store to buy team-related items, and pull up MapQuest. Although the latter link says it gets you directions to the Redskins' FedEx Field, the location wasn't filled in for us. Buttons are easily removed, and you can even add new buttons from AOL's gallery. The standard pop-up blocker and trace cleaners added to other toolbars aren't found here, but frankly, we don't miss such ubiquitous "extras."

This free toolbar will please Redskins fans, but it doesn't hurt if you're an AOL fan and user as well.
