This uninspired database program stores recipes but lacks any advanced features. Recipe Library's minimalist interface displays only six options, from Add/Change Recipes to File Maintenance. Each section opens a new window, so your taskbar can get cluttered pretty quickly. Add/Change Recipes displays recipes alphabetically, one at a time, with buttons to scroll through them. The Browse option offers filters and search tools, and the Food Group Dbase displays all the recipes you've saved. The Help file is found in the program's folder. While it's possible to delete entries when viewing the database, the Delete button didn't work on individual recipes in our tests. The trial imposes a 140-record limit, which includes deleted entries--so don't expect to use the program indefinitely just by staying under the 140 mark. You can print a single recipe or a recipe list that includes title, category, and food group. However, you won't find features such as a shopping-list manager or a meal planner. All in all, with its unfriendly design and quirky navigation, Recipe Library doesn't make the most appetizing option in this category.Publisher's description
