This no-frills freeware application determines the value of a resistor's color bands. Electronics hobbyists and electrical engineers will find RColour's small interface functional. It displays a resistor image and four drop-down menus of colors. As you assign a color to each band, the program displays the respective value in the text field. You can also use the program in reverse by entering a value in the text field, and the program will display the appropriate colors on the resistor image's bands. Additionally, you can determine the value of the color of the tolerance band or a sixth band if your resistor has it. Those requiring nothing more than a resistor value converter will find RColours worth downloading.

Publisher's description

From Brian Taylor :

RColours converts the color bands commonly found on resistors into the value of that resistor or it converts a given value into the color bands that would be used to represent that value. 3 and 4 band representations are supported and the user can switch between the two to compare the result. The value is displayed or can be entered in the industry standard 1K2 style. The colors are displayed on a picture of a resistor as well as named.
