Publisher's description
From R-tools Technology :R-Studio is a comprehensive data recovery and undelete program renowned for its ability to recover mission-critical data lost to viruses, malicious attacks, and hardware failures or operating system crashes. It supports FAT/NTFS (Windows), HFS/HFS+ (Mac), UFS1/UFS2 & Ext2FS/3FS file systems and functions on local and network disks, even if partitions are formatted, damaged or deleted. New additional file recovery algorithm increases the quality of file recovery and recovers files not recognized in file system metadata. Dynamic disk and RAID are supported as well as recovering encrypted files, compressed files and alternative data streams. Files and file systems structures (NTFS/FAT boot sectors, MFT file record, MBR, LDM structures, etc) can be viewed and edited in the professional disk hex editor. Extended Viewer Plugin allows viewing a content of the found files to estimate recovery chances prior to purchasing. Flexible parameter settings give you absolute control over data recovery.
Version 5.0 build 129009 adds RAID 6 support, including Reed-Solomon and Vertical XOR; support for custom-specified RAID 6 layouts; Advanced object copy.

Version: R-Studio Data Recovery 5.0 build 129009
"I have Tried the rest and this is the BEST!"
Pros: Affordable, extremely functional product. I had a server that lost a SAS backplane. I was able to stitch the RAID together with R-Studio and recover my production system in less then a day. would have cost thousands from a lab.
Cons: The interface can become overwhelming but for a tech this should not be a problem for the average user it can be a tad intimidating.
Summary: I have tired a lot of recovery products from the old Norton Disk Dr. in the OLD DOS days to sending drives in to recovery labs. I have found R-Studio to just be the best do it your self product. I have recovered single deleted files, corrupted parti... read more >>

Version: R-Studio Data Recovery 5.0 build 129009
"Works as advertised. Well worth the money!"
Pros: Effective. Ease of use. Good user interface.
Cons: None that I could appreciate.
Summary: I was expecting to spend the best part of a week-end trying to recover my LaCie RAID, dead due to an "industrial accident". Instead, in 15 minutes-time I was looking at the contents of my disks, once again assembled in a RAID. After that the recover... read more >>

Version: R-Studio Data Recovery 5.0 build 129009
"Best data recovery tool yet!"
Pros: I love the ease of use and the fact that it recovers the files and keeps them titled the same as they were before they were removed. This program is so fast and simple, and recovered way more than any other program I had used.
Cons: Some files were not able to be recovered, which of course is understandable, but other were recovered but jumbled or empty and there is no way to know this until you try to access them.
Summary: This product was able to recover almost everything I had lost when my computer was accidentally repartitioned and Windows reinstalled over it. I had tried using almost every single data recovery tool I could get my hands on, and also took it in to a... read more >>
